The PDP campaign was aired on Daar Communication’s African Independent Television (AIT). Jokolo in a letter to the company signed by Barrister Sylvester Imhanobe dated January 28, 2015 described the advertorial as an unwarranted and unlawful assault against his reputation.
The offensive portion according to Jokolo is where he was allegedly linked to the importation of the 53 suit cases. The AIT, according to the letter, showed Jokolo’s picture in his royal dress and portrayed him as a criminal who engaged in money laundering in 1984.
