Jnr Pope: AGN lifts suspension on Adanma

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has lifted the suspension on Adanma Luke, the producer of the movie ‘The Other Side of Life’, in which the late Nollywood actor John Paul Odonwodo, also known as Junior Pope, starred.

The AGN’s National Secretary, Abubakar Yakubu, shared this news in a statement following the guild’s National Executive Council meeting.

The statement reads, “Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Guild, is announcing that the suspension on Adanma Luke, producer of ‘The Other Side of Life’, has been lifted.

“It was during the shooting of the film that Junior Pope and four other crew members tragically lost their lives in the Anam River.”

It also noted that the ban on filming in river areas has been lifted, but members are advised to follow all safety guidelines set by AGN Bylaws.

Weekend Trust recalls that Junior Pope and four crew members drowned when their boat capsized at River Niger Cable Point in Asaba, Delta State, on April 10, 2024, while returning from the movie set.
