Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tripple Investment Limited Management Consultancy, Abuja, Mohammed Ibrahim Jirgi, has been upgraded to fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) (Chartered).
He was honoured at the Awards, Fellow and Spouse’s Day/Luncheon in Lagos recently.
Jirgi holds a PhD and a Master in Development Studies from Kampala International University (KIU), Kampala, Uganda and Bayero University, Kano respectively.
He is a seasoned journalist and has worked in various capacities, some of which are Amana Newspaper, Concord Press Limited, Zaria as a reporter, Yancin Dan-Adam Newspaper as Regional Editor and Telex Publication Limited, Zaria, Maiduguri Regional office.
Others include BBC correspondent in Maiduguri/Abuja, Current Affairs Assistant, Radio Kano, Senior Translator/Caster (Hausa), NTA Maiduguri and Chief Correspondent, Borno/Yobe states Daily Times of Nigeria Plc, Maiduguri among others.
President of the institute and Chairman of the Council, Professor Olukunle Iyande, said the award is conferred on members who have contributed to the development of the institute, management profession and the civil society at large.
“As fellow, you will be required to be actively involved in all the programmes of the institute through the Faculty of Fellows where your core competence and area of specialization in your profession will be brought to bear and utilized,” he said.
NIM is the largest, trans-sectoral and multi-disciplinary professional institute in Nigeria.
