Jigawa to get more licence issuing offices

This was disclosed to newsmen by the Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Special Marshal and Partnership department, Mr Victor Nwokoro, who is on a two-day visit to the state.
He said he was in Jigawa to meet with the Board of Internal Revenue, Vehicle Inspection Officers and other stakeholders on the administration of the new drivers’ licence and number plates. He said deadline for the new number plates remains June 30, adding that interested applicants should endeavour to collect theirs before the date, as there will be no extension.
He maintained that the computerised drivers’ licence is easy to obtain online, adding that part of their discussion in Jigawa is to open new offices so that people do not have to travel to Dutse to obtain licences.

He warned that those with fake drivers’ license and number plates would be prosecuted.
