Jigawa to demolish 1000 illegal structures

This was disclosed to newsmen by the Executive Chairman of Duste Capital Development Authority, Alhaji Bashir Aminu.
He told journalists that the task force which comprises of the Jigawa Environmental Protection Agency (JISEPA) police, SSS, FRSC, Dutse emirate and Ministry of Commerce, was mandated to remove illegal structures, clean and maintain the status of the capital as one of the cleanest cities in Nigeria.
Yerima said in the course of their assignment,1000 illegal structures were earmarked and that the owners have been given notices to move out.
He said a situation where residents violate land regulations and encroach on government property will no longer be tolerated.
