The Jigawa State Government has suspended all durbar activities in all the five emirate councils in the state.
Secretary to the state, Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini, said the decision was taken following a circular from Presidential Steering Committee (PSC) on COVID-19, putting six states and FCT on red alert.

He said the state government has also directed that Eid Prayer should be held in an open space at Friday mosques.
He urged the general public and religious leaders in the state to avoid large gatherings.
