Jigawa residents comply with restriction order on movement

In strict compliance to the police order on restriction of movement, major streets of the Jigawa state capital, Dutse, are empty, aside those on essential duty.

Earlier, the police in the state had observed that during the last general election, people did not strictly comply with the order on restriction of movement.

In a statement, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Bala Zama Senchi, warned that the order was fully in force on today’s election saying, “police will not hesitate to clamp down on any person trying to violate the order.”
