The Police in Jigawa Saturday arrested a Peoples Democratic Party councillor in Garki local government of the state over the killing of one Sani Garba,an APC supporter in Garki.
This was disclosed to Journalists by the Police Spokesman, Abdu Jinjiri.
He said the suspect, Lawan Manya, who is a councillor in Garki, was arrested with his accomplices after stabbing the deceased to death on the eve of the governorship election in the state.
Jinjiri gave the name of the two other accomplices as Haruna Madaji and Husseini Aminu adding that they will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigation into the matter.
The state APC chairman , Ado sani Kiri thanked the police for their prompt response to the crime.
