The Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) has urged kidnappers to repent.
It said if they refused to repent, it would be organising special prayers and fasting for their destruction.
JIBWIS National Chairman Ulama’u Council, Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, said this in Jos yesterday during the opening ceremony of the juma’at mosque on top of Zinariya Hill.
He said, “Kidnapping is prohibited by Islam and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, so we are calling on them to repent,” he said.
He also called government at all levels and the security agencies to end kidnappings.
