JIBWIS College of Education matriculates 189 students in Gombe

The Jama’atul Izalatil Bidi’a Waiqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) College of Education at the weekend in Gombe matriculated 189 students for the 2018/2019 academic session.

The collage, which is owned by the Izala group, runs NCE courses in Islamic Studies, English, Arabic, Hausa and Social Studies among others.

In his address, the college Provost Malam Muhammad Dan’azumi called on the newly matriculated students to shun all forms of social vices such as cultism, drug abuse and indecent dressing among others.

The District Head of Kurba, Alhaji Abubakar Habu Kurba, called on the JIBWIS to put in more efforts towards providing more schools and other social institutions that would help raise a group of educated youths who could compete with their counterparts anywhere in the world.

In a goodwill message, Professor Mahmud Baba of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, congratulated the newly admitted students and urged them to read hard so as not to waste the opportunity that many of their peers could not have.

Professor Baba also called on them to avoid all immoral acts bedevilling the students of Nigerian tertiary institutions and be good ambassadors of the college.

The Chairman, Governing Council of the college, Sheikh Hamza Adamu Abdulhamid, said the college needed assistance especially in the area of infrastructure so as to admit more students.
