Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufa’i of Kaduna State has presented staff of office to Alhaji Abdullahi Daniya as the 11th Emir of Jere.
The ceremony was held at the Jere Stadium Friday amid tight security.
Swearing in the emir, Governor El-Rufa’i appreciated the people of Jere for contributing to the peaceful atmosphere in the area.
He said his administration was doing everything within its powers to ensure the security of lives and property in the state.

El-Rufai urged the people to cooperate with security personnel who are working hard to flush out criminals.
He also called on the people of Jere to be loyal to the new emir.
Present at the event were the deputy governor of the state, Hajiya Hadiza Balarabe; members of Kaduna State Executive Council, Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic, Gen. Yusuf Tukur Buratai (rtd), among others.
