Alhaji Inuwa said the outgoing management had done much especially on metering and revenue collection.

Inuwa said the new management would build on this as it was expecting some new equipment, including meters that would be installed for consumers in the DisCo’s franchise areas.

Commenting, the former MD, Modibo, thanked his team for its unwavering support. “We are the first DisCo to divest our holdings completely since the privatization and this is done with the approval of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE).”

The newly appointed MD, Engr. Bakori, said the firm would now focus on providing quality service to its customers by giving them fair billing and metering their premises.

“JED plc has a lot of potential but with the cooperation and understanding of the Board members, we will take it to where it is supposed to be in the power sector. As such, all hands must be on deck to achieve our vision.”

JEDC will have a new management team, coming shortly after the new Board of Directors of JEDC was formed. The board consists of Babangida Inuwa (Chairman), Ibrahim Bello, Zulkifil Abba, Sola Arifayan, Wakil Adamu, Remi JIbowu and Engr. Hashim Bakori.
