Junior Chambers International Nigeria (JCIN) Thursday conferred awards on 10 outstanding young persons of Nigeria who have excelled in their chosen fields.
The organisation gave the awards while marking the 2022 International Youth Day (IYD) Summit in Abuja.

JCIN National President, Olawale Bakare, said the award was to amplify the message that action was needed across all generations to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs), especially, the youth.
“More than anytime, our nation needs to leverage the full potential of our youth population. Our political class must pay beyond lip service to the cause of increased youth participation in governance,” he said.
The awardees are Bukola Alada (academic leadership), Chioma Ukpabi (business, economic and entrepreneurs), Tunde Onakoya (children, world peace and human rights), Adebowale Adedayo (cultural achievement), and Oladiwura Oladepo (humanitarian and voluntary leadership).
Others are Intissar Bashir Kurfi (moral and environmental), Abiodun Oluwaseun (political, legal and government affairs), Joel Ogunsola (scientific and technological development), Victoria Nwanna (personal improvement and development), and Babatunde Bale (medical innovation).
