Scott Jamieson and Daniel Hillier shared the lead on Thursday as the Qatar Masters got under way, as the weather put an early end to play in Doha.
The leaders were among the day’s earlier starters and managed to complete their rounds with scores of seven-under-par, before play was suspended.
“Delighted with that start. It was pretty solid tee to green and I managed to hole some putts today, which has probably let me down in the last few weeks,” said Jamieson after his round.

“I just didn’t do much wrong,” said joint leader Hillier. “Had a good stretch through the middle that put me in a good position and kept my foot down from there.”
