The flyover is to be constructed at Roadblock roundabout that connects a federal highway that passes through the state capital and another road leading to Kona town .

The roundabout, popularly known as “ Roadblock” is always witnessing traffic gridlock.

The Commissioner for Works, Mr Irmiya Ibrahim Julde told North_East Trust that the road dualization project will cover a distance of 18 kilometers.

“The project was awarded by Governor Darius Ishaku to expand the road in the metropolis and also add beauty to the state capital,” the commissioner said.

Some residents, who spoke to NorthEast Trust, welcomed the projects saying that when completed driving in the state capital would be stress free.
