Jaiz Bank sensitises Gombe religious leaders on Islamic banking

Jaiz Bank Limited yesterday organised an interactive session with religious leaders and imams to enlighten them on the bank’s operations and the Islamic banking system. 

 Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of the bank, Alhaji Hassan Usman, outlined Jaiz Bank’s achievements in the last 10 years of its establishment.

He said the bank which started business activities with only three branches in 2012 now has a total of 45 branches across the 36 states of the country and Abuja. 

Represented by Head of Northern Operations, Dr Sirajo Salisu, he said a plan was underway to establish five new branches in the northern and southern parts of the nation. 

 The managing director urged the clerics to help in enlightening the public on how the bank operates in full compliance with the Islamic Shari’a law. 

 On his part, the Head of the Corporate Banking Services, Mansur Abdullahi, re-emphasised that the bank was operating interest-free, in accordance with Shari’a. 

 He explained that the bank engages in various business activities and shares its profits fairly with its shareholders and customers.
