Inspector General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase has said the Police Complaint Response Unit (CRU) has enhanced accountability in the police.
He spoke yesterday during an interactive session with civil society organizations and government oversight agencies on the effectiveness of the recently launched police Complaint Response Unit (CRU).
Arase said it was going to a total panacea between the police and members of the public but a novel idea.
Arase further said he was prepared to put his integrity at stake to ensure that things were done differently.
The Officer in Charge of the Complaints Response Unit, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Abayomi Shogunle reiterated the objective of the unit to check public complaints of unprofessional conduct by police officers.
