It’s time to rise against cholera

The recent outbreak of cholera in Lagos has left no fewer than 20 people dead with many others hospitalised.

As usual, children are the worse hit in the latest outbreak. I call on the government to take urgent measures to halt further spread of the disease.

There is a need for people to take care of their hygiene and ensure they take only potable water. The government must intensify effort in providing potable water to the people as a way of tackling the scourge of cholera.
