The presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Engr Yabagi Sani, has said Nigeria has the resources to pay its workers N100, 000 as minimum wage.
A statement Sunday by his media aide, Ben Atonko, said Sani spoke on Arise Television, where he lamented that Nigerians have lost close to one-quarter of their purchasing power.
“It’s possible to pay N100, 000 as minimum wage. I will grow the economic sector. The shipping sector isn’t keying into the oil sector. We will not be servicing debts. Many things are not present in this government. I have the capacity. Nigeria is a country of greatness,” he said.
He said his administration would bring global ideas into governance in Nigeria, adding that, “Europe is looking for gas. How do we build the infrastructure that will enable us to deliver this gas? Without proper work, nobody will come to Nigeria.”

The presidential candidate expressed sadness that Nigeria was losing huge resources, and identified bogus fuel subsidy claims, oil theft and corruption as ravagers of Nigeria’s economy.
“We will ensure discipline in public service. Promoting people who have done wrong or failed…actions will be taken. I will not condone corruption.
“There are insertions in the budget. Why should that happen? The problems here are man-made. We will tackle them. People do things as they like. Our soldiers do well outside Nigeria which shows that our problems are man-made,” he added.
