A software engineering firm, Decagon, has unveiled its plans to raise new generation of software developers whom, it says, will revolutionise the country’s socio-economic sectors with advanced techniques in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
At a briefing to announce Decagon’s partnership with the Sterling Bank, Main One and ACA Foundation in the training of the current cohorts, Founder, Chika Nwobi said the engineering firm is ushering in a new phase of tech-powered growth and prosperity in Nigeria by training and deploying an army of leader-developers who poised to bring about changes across every strata of Nigerian economy.
According to Nwobi, Decagon programme for youths is rigorous, and getting into the program is strictly based on merit.
He said successful applicants are trained on technical skills to be able to perform exceptionally well at core tasks, and are equipped with leadership and soft skills to be able to think and act strategically as team members and leaders.
