The National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) has released the 2020 Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary School Certificate Examination results for 39,614 candidates.
The acting Registrar of the board, Professor Muhammad Shafi’u Abdullahi, who briefed newsmen Wednesday in Kaduna, revealed that a total of 39,614 candidates from 24 states and FCT sat for the examination out of which 26, 368 were male candidates while 13, 246 were female candidates.
Analysis of the subjects show that 4,652 candidates attempted science subjects, 32,228 attempted arts, while 2,734 took tahfeez.
Professor Abdullahi revealed that biology topped other subjects with 96.71% of pass followed by physics with 92.18% with 88.84% in chemistry, 80.25% in english, 79.31% in mathematics, 78.91% in Islamic studies and 78.29% in Arabic language.
The acting Registrar commended stakeholders who ensured the successful conduct of the examination in the wake of the ravaging coronavirus pandemic in parts of the country.
