IPOB orders sit-at-home on May 30

The  Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has ordered all persons in Biafaraland to sit at home on May 30, 2021 as they organise a protest in over 100 counties of the world. The group also   banned church services on that day in Biafraland because of the protest.

According to the group, the protest would hold in 100 countries of the world where IPOB members and sympathisers reside.

This was contained in a statement issued by the group’s media and publicity officer, Emma Powerful, made available to newsmen in Awka, the Anambra state capital on Sunday.

According to Emma,  the exercise was to honour their  fallen heroes and heroines, stressing   that the exercise  would be observed in markets, churches, parks, airports and seaports within and outside the region and beyond.

The IPOB spokesman said there would be no procession, protest nor church services anywhere in the zone, urging its members to stay indoors throughout the day.
