Five persons suspected to be members of the Anambra Vigilante Group have been reported killed by unidentified gunmen in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the State.
Office and vehicle belonging to the vigilante group in the area were also set ablaze by the assailants.

A source in the community said a top businessman in the area was among those killed in the process.
However, an eyewitness said at least five bodies were found at the scene of the incident.
According to the source, the gunmen who invaded their community were not less than 12, adding that they were shooting repeatedly into the air.
Security agencies and public utilities have been under constant attacks by armed men believed to be members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) recently.
The Public Relations Officer of the State’s police command, Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the incident but said he had not been briefed on the number of casualties.
According to him, there was an attack in Ozubulu on a vigilante office by some “hoodlums”.
He said the attackers came in Sienna vehicles, motorcycles and attacked the office of the vigilante.
Ikenga also said that security operatives have been deployed to the area and normalcy restored.
According to him, the incident happened at about 7 pm on Sunday.
