A Federal High Court in Abuja has vacated the bail granted the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and ordered his arrest.
Justice Binta Nyako on Thursday, while issuing a bench warrant against Kanu, said the court has provided ample time for him to appear in court for his trial following his bail granted on April 25, 2017.
Justice Nyako also ordered a stay of proceedings on the interim order made in November, 2018 for Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and two other of his sureties to forfeit the sum of N300m bail bonds to the court.
Kanu is facing trial on three count-charges bordering on conspiracy to commit treasonable felony and setting up illegal broadcast stations alongside Bright Chimezie, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu, and Chidiebere Onwudiwe.
