The vice chairman and chief executive officer of Lobi Stars FC, Dominic Iorfa, has summoned back three of the club’s 40 dismissed employees.
Gabriel Ogwuche’s appointment as team manager was also terminated by the vice chairman when he failed to show up at the meeting called by the club’s administration and did not sign the document indicating his acceptance of the position.
Iorfa made the choice during a meeting he had with club employees on Monday at Makurdi’s Aper Aku Stadium.
The vice chairman of the club said that all staff of the club that failed to attend the meeting and present their appointment letters for sighting were no longer staff of the club.
He lamented that some former staff of the club who had been paid their salaries up-to-date were blackmailing him that he was owing them six months salaries.
He further said that the staff had even staged a protest at the gate of Government House protesting non payment of six month salaries.
He said that the Team Manager, Gabriel Ogwuche, did not sign his acceptance letter, stressing that for failing to sign his acceptance letter it then means that he was not a staff of the club.
According to him, Ogwuche would return the money he had collected for 10 months as salary to the coffers of the club.
