The Chairman Institute of Directors (IoD) 2017 national conference, Mr Fred Ojutola has commended Media Trust, publisher of the Daily Trust titles, for its steadfastness in sustaining publication of the vernacular newspaper, Aminiya.

Ojutola who was speaking when he led management of the institute to Daily Trust office on courtesy visit in Lagos, showered encomium on the newspaper’s management  for their ‘vibrant thinking in salvaging the nation’s culture.’ 

“I am so impressed that you have your hands in many areas upholding our cultural heritage. From my discovery, our local languages are dying as our children no longer speak them. I am so impressed that you have a publication in local language that helps teach our children our culture,” he said.

Ojutola, while speaking on the institute’s forthcoming annual conference scheduled for Abuja on November 30, 2017, said it would bring together the le crème of the society.

Also, Associate Director, Operations and Communication of the IoD, Segun Dipe, commended Media Trust over the publication of  Aminiya and Teen Trust and urged it to keep it up as these and many attributes contributed to the newspaper’s organization emerging Newspaper of the year in 2016.

Welcoming the guests, the General Manager, Southern Operations, Mr Ademola Oladosu said Media Trust had since inception been strategizing to meet the needs of the reading public, hence the increase in its number of publications.
