Universal Medical Innovation has concluded plans to build a N79.68bn ($400m) worth of hospital in Giri area of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) Abuja.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the hospital, retired Air Vice Marshal Salifu Atawodi disclosed that the company has acquired a 35.9 hectares of land in Giri to build the 300 bed hospital that is expected to  end medical tourism.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) in Abuja recently, the chairman further disclosed that the world-class hospital to be known as Medical City would have the state-of-the-art equipment, generate its own power, have a hotel to cater for outbound patients, a helipad and other essentials facilities that can be compared to any in the world.
Executive Secretary, NIPC, Mrs. Uju Aisha Hassan Baba expressed the determination of the Commission to encouraged indigenous investors to invest in the economy.
