The Agabe of Ugbada-Gwargwada community in Kuje Area Council, Alhaji Hussain Agabi Mam, has urged the chairman of the council, Alhaji Abdullahi D. Galadima, to setup a committee to investigate all contracts awarded by the past administration of Mr Shaban Ishaku Tete.
Speaking when the council chairman visited him at his palace, weekend, he said that doing so would enable the chairman know the projects executed and or otherwise.
“For example, a contractor is claiming to have supplied diesel to fuel the generator that supplied water here in Gwargwada, such a contractor needs to tell us when he supplied it,” he said.
“We have never drunk water from overhead tank since from the time of administration of Danladi Etsu Zhin, so nobody supplied diesel during the time of last administration. So the chairman should set-up another committee to investigate past contracts awarded by the last administration,” he said.
Earlier, the Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Alhaji Abdullahi D. Galadima, said that he visited the chief to show appreciation for sustaining peace and harmony among the people of his chiefdom.
He solicited for advise from the chief, saying that a leader needs advice, especially on issues affecting lives of the people of the council.
