In recent times, there have been concerns over mass deaths in Hadejia, Jigawa State.
In the past 10 days, over 140 people are said to have died of yet to be ascertained ailments in the.
These deaths, which are occurring amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, call for serious worries.
In the interest of public safety, I call on the Federal Government to collaborate with the Jigawa State Government to get to the root of such deaths.
The fact that Jigawa is geographically close to Kano, which has witnessed a spike in COVID-19 cases in recent times, should be the more reason the government must step up efforts to contain the ugly trend.
Government should do the needful to stop further deaths in Jigawa.
