Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has urged clerics in the country to intensify prayers for rapid national development.
He spoke when members of the Kano State Council of Imams, led by their chairman, Sheikh Mohammed Nasir Adam, paid him a courtesy visit at the National Assembly, Abuja.
He appealed to the clerics to always support the government with prayers in its efforts to turn around the country’s fortunes positively.
“All that you’ve mentioned are very important. We’ll look at it with a view of addressing the challenges facing us as a country. We’ll follow them one after the other.

Earlier, Sheikh Adam appealed to the federal government to tackle unemployment which he said was fuelling the insecurity in the north.
