The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Kebbi State Command has said it will soon revive all its local government area divisional offices as part of efforts to improve intelligence gathering and the performance of its officers and men.
The new Comptroller of NIS in the state, Saidu Mohammed Sabo while briefing journalists at the State Command, Tuesday, said there was serious work for the service at the local government levels but laxity on the part of those assigned has been hampering progress.
He said intelligence gathering starts from the local government area not only for the immigration service but other security agencies.
“The primary functions of the immigration service are to monitor the activities of foreigners before and while they are in the country.
