Intel Region, a fast-growing media company, today announced that it has developed a new platform to further its foundational mission to connect people with job opportunities both at home and abroad.
Intel Region which was established in 2019 has been well known in Nigeria for its massive job information outreach through its jobs departmental arm known as “iR Job Alert”. In a statement by the CEO and Head of Content, Abdurraheem Olaiya, the Intel Region’s “iR Job Alert” platform has reached over 40 million Nigerians since its establishment.
Abdurraheem further explained that due to technical requirements involved in the company’s effort to help Nigerians simplify job application processes both at home and abroad, it has become highly necessary to move the “iR Job Alert” platform from the parent intelregion.com website.
According to him, the job section of the company formerly known as “iR Job Alert” will now become “Jobs Region (jobsregion.com)”.
He said: “Nigeria like many other African countries have lots of untapped ideas resulting from the inability of people with similar brilliant ideas to connect and establish a team that will give life to such idea.”
“While we have successfully been able to connect socially through social media, we have been largely unable to connect openly with friends and/or strangers to discuss the ideas that should be explored to create employment,” Abdurraheem said.
He noted that although Jobs Region (jobsregion.com)’s immediate mission is to connect people with existing job opportunities, the company is looking forward to driving a system that would ensure the creation of these job opportunities instead of depending solely on the already established ones.
He also called on Nigerians, especially job seekers to submit their suggestions on the features they believe the Jobs Region (jobsregion.com) website should have to connect them with job opportunities both at home and abroad.
