The Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Young Professionals, has called on Nigerians with innovative technology driven solution to participate in the upcoming Nigeria Innovation Challenge 4 Entrepreneurs (NICHE) program.
The chair of the institute in Nigeria, Engr. Haruna Danjuma Gana said the program was organized as part of its entrepreneur week celebration.
“We wanted to do something special as IEEE celebrates its entrepreneurship week in November,” he said
He said, NICHE is a 6 weeks exciting program and it is open for both IEEE members and non-IEEE members to gain new entrepreneurial and innovative skills.
“NICHE which is a global initiative of IEEE and championed by IEEE Region 8 (Africa, Middle East & Europe) was designed together with relevant ecosystem stakeholders to provide attractive and proven methods to deliver value by creating the right platform to empower Nigerian entrepreneurs who are 2 years post MVP with less than $30,000 in seed funding” he said.
Ambassador of IEEE Entrepreneurship Initiative, Region 8, Chukwuemeka Okafor has equally encouraged undergraduate and graduate students with exciting school projects to participate.
He noted that IEEE, around the globe is currently engaged in lots of programs to ensure that entrepreneurs and professionals are given the right resources to contribute to sustainable development and wealth creation.
