The Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) has inaugurated new national executives that will run its activities for the next two years.
The association pledged to address issues of environmental development in the country in order to help government achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The new executives, led by Arc. Sonny Echono as president, were inaugurated during the institute’s 59th Annual General Meeting and Conference (AGM) in Abuja, recently.
The theme of the conference, ‘2030 and Nigerian Architecture: Goals, Gaps and Gains’, had sub-themes which included ‘Architecture as a Tool for Achieving 2030 Sustainable Development Goals’, ‘Appropriate Education, Training and Research Agenda for 2030’ and ‘Translating Baku Declaration to Action’ among others.
