Insecurity: Redeemed Church tasks parents on children’s mentorship

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has urged parents, especially men, to mentor their children in the way of God for the country to over insecurity and other challenges facing the country.

This was part of submissions by some speakers at this year’s RCCG FCT3 Redeemer’s Men Fellowship Convention held in on Sunday in Nyanya, Abuja.

The event with series of lectures to equip participants on the need to improve themselves and by extension the society.

Speaking at the event, the Regional Men Fellowship, Region 10 Coordinator, Pastor Paul Adebisi, urged men to equip themselves with the word of God and live exemplary lives in the interest of the younger ones and incoming generations.

According to him, fathers had a lot of roles to play for the home to enjoy lasting peace and by extension the country.

“We fathers must ensure that our children are grooming in the way of God, to give glory to God alone and ensure peaceful co-existence rather than allowing them to be used as agents of destruction,” the clergyman said.

Also, the Redeemer’s Men Fellowship President, Region 10, Abuja, Pastor Michael Oluwole, described the convention as apt and timely.

“At the present, there are much pressure everywhere, in finance, politics, economy even within the family circle, so men needed to be equipped with necessary skills and information to overcome all these challenges,” Oluwole said.

On his part, the President, RMF, FCT3, Pastor Tonade Olayinka, said event was aimed at providing necessary needs for people to overcome any challenge.

The convention with the theme, “Still more Ground” had series of lectures on finance and financing in marriage, security and health related topics among others.
