Insecurity: Niger raises alarm over influx of illegal immigrants

The Niger State Government has called on the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to assist in checking the influx of illegal and criminal immigrants into the state as part of effort to tackle insecurity.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, made the appeal when the state’s new comptroller of immigration, Nongo Samuel Shima, paid him a visit.

Matane said checkmating the influx of irregular migrants in the state would go a long way to stop the perpetration of crime in the state.
