The Chairman of Association of local government council chairmen (ALGON) in Taraba state, Mr. Bala Bako has revealed that council areas in the state are losing millions of Naira because of heightened level insecurity in the state.
Bala,who is also the chairman of Ibbi local government area in the state, said insecurity problem had affected business and farming Activities which is a major Source of local revenue in the state.

He said many rural markets across the 16 local government areas of the state are not fully functional due to insecurity.
The ALGON chairman stated that the fall in local revenue has affected cash flow to local government councils and it is also affecting their performance in providing basic needs to the people at the grass root.
He called for collective effort by Taraba state, the Federal government as well as other stakeholders to address security problems in the state.
