The Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State, Hassan Kauye Farawa, has launched a security outfit comprising 100 vigilantes and hunters to support the security officials in ensuring an effective security system in the area.
Speaking during the launching ceremony of the security marshals at a stakeholder meeting on security in the area, the chairman stated that the council was supporting security officials in ensuring adequate security of lives and property.

He explained that, to encourage the marshals, the council has placed each of them on a N20,000 monthly allowance starting from this month to encourage them to do more.
He also revealed that the council will build an area command office for the security outfit.
The council boss also announced a donation of a new vehicle to Ja’oji Police division and also a donation of 10 motorcycles to some selected people to assist security agencies in gathering information in the fight against criminal activities in the local government.
Similarly, the representative of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, at the occasion, the district head of Kumbotso, Alhaji Ahmad Ado Bayero, tasked all traditional rulers in the area to offer their best in contributing towards ensuring effective security in the area.
