Insecurity: Jos community moves to end Sara-Suka activities

A group known as Kungiyan Matasa (youth group) in Anguwan Rogo, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, has strategised to tackle the activities of hoodlums popularly known as Sara-Suka who have been disturbing the community.

Sara-Suka activities have become source of concern in recent times in some mostly Muslim communities in Jos, leading to the killing of people and destruction of property.

The group made the move during an emergency meeting of stakeholders in the area on Sunday.

Yusuf Umar, the chairman of the group, disclosed that the affected communities would provide full support to vigilantes who would be patrolling the nooks and crannies of the area, adding that henceforth every household would be tasked N100 monthly to support the activities of the vigilantes
