The federal government said it will begin the implementation of digital postcodes and Address Verification System (AVS) in October, to boost revenue generation and prevent insecurity in the country.
Hon. Sunday Adepoju, the Postmaster General of the Federation/CEO of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), disclosed this on Thursday at a media briefing in Abuja.
Adepoju noted that implementing the Postcode and AVS by October this year would help NIPOST contribute to the country’s revenue and end the challenges associated with Know Your Customer (KYC).
