The Gombe State Government said it has approved the procurement of 13 Hilux vehicles at the cost of N434.3 million to boost security operations in the state.
State’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo, disclosed this at the end of the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

He said the 13 Hilux vehicles valued at a contract sum of N434,342,000 will be distributed to all the 11 Local Government Areas of the state, to further boost the security of lives and property in the state.
Also, the state’s Commissioner for Education, Dauda Batari Zambuk, said the council has approved the payment of external examination fees for 23,600 final year students across the state.
He said the council has expeditiously granted approval of over N435.272 million for the payment of WAEC, NABTEB and NBAIS examination charges, to be shared between the state government and the 11 LGAs.
In the same vein, the Commissioner for Works, Engineer Abubakar Bappah, disclosed that the council has equally approved the construction of six roads across the three senatorial districts of the state.
