Youth across the country and youth organisations are expected to participate in the concert to enable them to lend their voice to channel a solution towards ending the insecurity in the country.
Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. Mike Omeri, while speaking during a press briefing in his office, said the programme will afford Nigerian youth to learn from experiences of older generation and other youth who have made impact in one way or the other.
“General Yakubu Gowon, Chief Imam of Ansarud Deen, Chief Imam of Abuja, Pastor Adeboye, vice presidents from the ECOWAS region, first ladies of South Africa, Sudan, Cameroon among others will be there to share their experiences with the younger generation,” Omeri said.
He further added that the first lady decided to organise the event as a result of the persistent crises and security challenges bedeviling many countries in the continent.
“The concert is an initiative of the first lady being the Chairperson of the African First Ladies Peace Mission and the mission decided to host the event to act in the spirit of the forum and called on Nigerian youth to be part of it,” the DG said.
