The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Samson Ayokunle, on Tuesday, said the federal government’s inability to deploy technology in monitoring criminals terrorising some sections of Nigeria smacks of complicity of the government in the criminality or misfit.
Ayokunle said this in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital while speaking at the Holy Convocation organised by the Victory Life Bible Church.

Speaking on the theme of the convocation “The state of the nation: The way forward”, the CAN President argued that the insecurity and other vices being witnessed in the country were as a result of negligence on the part of the present administration.
The CAN also described the current administration as being religiously biased.
He said the current administration had taken time in faulting the past administration whereas it had failed in bringing different ethnic and religious groups in the country in unison.
The CAN President said the country found itself in a precarious situation as a result of bad leadership, which cannot be put at the doorstep of any administration.
“Dual constitution must be dropped for one single constitution. The 1999 Constitution as amended is both secular and Sharia. It gives preference to one religion over the other. The Constitution will address the way of doing thing,” said the CAN president.
