The 4 Special Forces Command, Doma Barracks in Nasarawa State, has trained some of its officers on operational planning cadre in its efforts to tackle prevailing insecurity in Nasarawa Toto and other parts of the state.
Speaking at the ongoing 5-day military training in Doma Barracks, the headquarters of Doma Local Government Area of the state, the commander in charge of the command, Brig-Gen Lewis Lepdung, said the programme was targeted at exposing officers, particularly the young ones, on how to prepare and plan for operations at any given period.

“At present, our country Nigeria is bedevilled with several security challenges and no challenge can be resolved without first of all studying it, unless by virtue of miracle,” he said.
Commander in charge of Integrated Fire Support Command, Brig Gen Christopher Peter Ugwu, said the training was aimed at making its officers to be proactive and introduce them to new techniques as well as refresh them on what they had already known about their operational experiences.
General Ugwu, who is the sponsor of the military workshop, disclosed that the International Committee of the Red Cross trained their officers on international humanitarian and first aid, stating that the training would go a long way in making them to be better planners and tackling humanitarian issues that might arise in any operation.
