A former Minister of Education, Ibrahim Yerima Abdullahi, has said that the country’s security problem is fueled by injustice and disregard for the rule of law.

He stated this in an interview with newsmen yesterday in Gombe.

He, therefore, called on the federal government and Nigerians to prevail on the judiciary to remove inequities and uphold the tenets of rule of law and justice.

Abdullahi, who serves as Minister of Education, Science and Technology during the military regime of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, added that there will be peace only if the judiciary would ensure equity, fairness and justice.

The onetime Nigerian High Commissioner to Malaysia also decried the activities of bandits.
