The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it will hold a supplementary election in Kogi state to conclude the governorship polls of last Saturday.
The election had been declared inconclusive by the INEC returning officer who said the number of votes by which the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate Abubakar Audu was leading the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Governor Idris Wada was less than the numbers of votes nullified.
The same day (Sunday), the election results were announced, the APC candidate, Audu died causing some confusion.
The INEC in a notice published on its website said it will allow the APC to substitute its candidate and proceed to conclude the election.
