The state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hussain Haliru Pai, while speaking with our correspondent yesterday, said: “1,317,095 were received while 799,313 have so far been distributed, representing 60.69 per cent.”
He said to ensure that all eligible voters collect their cards, the commission had set up centres in the 239 wards in the state.
Haliru Pai appealed to those who were yet to collect their cards to make sure they do so, adding that the commission had done its part and expected the citizens to do theirs.
He said the commission had met with traditional rulers and other stakeholders in the state on the matter.
