Indigent women, vulnerable residents get financial support in Osun

Indigent women and vulnerable residents in Osun State have received financial support from the government to cushion the effects of economic hardship on them.

The beneficiaries got the money from the newly digitised Conditional Cash Transfer programme of the federal government.

The National Project Coordinator for the programme, Hajia Halima Shehu, while addressing the beneficiaries in Osogbo, urged them to use the money judiciously to grow their businesses and cater for their dependents.

She noted that the initial delay in the payment was because of the digitalisation of the payment process to strengthen it. She assured the beneficiaries that the backlog would soon be paid.
