The FCT Indigenous Lawyers’ Forum has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the appointment of an FCT native, Zaphaniya Jisalo, as minister in his cabinet.
The Chairman of the forum, Barrister Atna Combo, who made the commendation at a press briefing in Abuja on Saturday, said the nomination marked a significant milestone in the natives’ agitation against marginalization; social, cultural, economic and historical injustices faced by them.

He noted that the appointment of Jisalo was a step towards promoting inclusiveness and equity in the country.
The forum further urged the APC-led administration to replicate such significant milestones across all the federal government’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in adherence with the federal character principle.
