It was a moment of pomp and pageantry as 12 corps members in Anambra State were celebrated for marrying each other.
The corps members who found their loved ones while serving their fatherland said the state’s NYSC camp provided them with conducive environments and mentorship as well as the enablement for courtships that metamorphosed into marriages.

Oluchukwu Davis from Delta State, said his heartthrob, Aghedo Blessing, from Edo State graduated from Delta State Polytechnic, the same as his.
“We were posted outside Anambra for services, divinely, we were redeployed to Anambra, where we met again and continued,” he said.
On what attracted her to the husband, Blessing said during the lockdown, they became close saying that it enabled them to assess each other before reaching the marriage conclusion.
Ogburie Collins from Imo state found his wife, Nwokearu Chinyeremaka from the same state when they boarded a bus from Anambra as corps members, and the relationship blossomed.
I thank God that we got married. His height is one of the qualities I prayed to God to give me in a husband. Above all he is a very caring and loving husband,” Chinyeremaka said.
The others are Ohale Nkemakolam and his wife, Nsofor Obianuju; Eze Obinwa and Oluchi peace; Henry
Nwachoko and Charles Ruth; and Bernard Faith Amarachi and Okafor Chukwudi.
The state NYSC coordinator, Mr. Kehinde Aremu, commended the state governor, Willie Obiano, for the good environment and welfare.
He urged parents to always pray for such privileges for their children, saying that It was always joyous for parents to see their children getting married. “I pray for you all to have joyful and loving married lives,” Aremu added.
The Assistant Director, Corps Welfare and Health Services, Mrs. Ify Nwafor, in her advice, said: “Always try to make your marriage joyful and to be happy in your marriage you must always tolerate and love one another.”
